What do you do at JICC?
Many times when people ask this question, they are asking what events or programs take place on the church campus and are lead by paid staff members or pastors. We believe that Scripture teaches us to look at it a little differently.
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. Ephesians 4:15-16
Under the headship of Christ, and the oversight of the Elders, our church empowers the members of our body to be ministers. Below is a list of ministries that take place during the month at JICC. They are not lead by staff members, they are lead and were initiated by people within the body under the oversight of the Elders. The list is not comprehensive, and it is always growing. If you have a ministry on your heart that you would like to see take shape, please let the leadership know by contacting Karen Robertson at Karen@jicc.us, or 795-9449, x101.
These are not divided based on age or gender segregation. To read more about why, click here.
