Questions about giving


What type of payments does the church accept?

You may give with check, cash, text or online through our e-check system using your bank account.  In addition, JICC will assist other donations like property, appreciated stocks, endowments, etc.  Contact for special arrangements.


Simply indicate on the memo line of your check what fund you are contributing to (ie, adopt a student, missions, debt reduction, etc). If you are giving online, you will be given a list of optional funds to which you may contribute. 

Changes in JICC on-line giving Platform?  How do I Set Up On-Line giving?

We are transitioning platforms for our on-line giving from “Fellowship One” to “Planning Center/Giving” to streamline all our membership communications. This transition will occur in November-December 2018. We will try to give notice, but in mid November, when you go to give on line, you will be automatically directed to "Planning Center/Giving" platform for you to set up your giving information there. Planning Center will guide you through the secure set up process. There are some set up choices (account preferences) and bank information that you will need. You can always access your personal secure giving profile at any time to update or make adjustments. Click "Give Now" above to get started.

You can still log in to your Fellowship One account if you need to stop or adjust automatic giving, etc. JICC will cancel the Fellowship One platform May 1, 2019. (Link to Fellowship One)


Why are we changing platforms?

Uniform Membership platform/Better Experience/New Features. We anticipate that this new platform will give you a much better and easier experience.  A few of the features will still include your ability to log in to view or update your giving, update your profile and be able to designate your giving more efficiently. You will have a uniform membership profile through planning center... one place for all your JICC communications.  Among many of the new features, you will be able to give even easier, using a simple text.



Yes.  James Island Christian Church is a 501(c) (3) organization.  All contributions to JICC Church are tax deductible and contribution documentation will be available at the end of the year. how can i view my giving statement?

You can now log into your account (or create one if you have not done so yet), view and print your giving statement, as well as give online through the ECheck system. For members, if you have already set up your church directory account, use your same log-in information here as well. What if i forgot my username or password?

Simply click "forgot my password" on the log-in page and it will email you a re-set link.  Fellowship one      Planning Center/Giving


1. It's easy to adjust. You may update or change your giving at any time through your account or by contacting the JICC office.

2. You can give any way you choose. You may choose to have your gift automatically deducted from your bank account weekly, bi-weekly, or once a month.

3. Today, many use funds that are transacted in this way and access to checks and cash is not the norm anymore.  For more secure giving, we provide this method to those who are more comfortable using this method. 

4. You won't forget. Automating your giving helps you stay faithful in honoring God with your finances.  In addition, it also allows you to promptly follow God's leading in the moment if you are so led.


What about the customary convenience fees?

Yes, there are convenience fees/transaction expenses that are passed on to the church for this convenience, but that is true for all electronic transactions.   Effective rates include % fees as well as per-transaction fees. Credit and debit cards are processed at 2.3% + $0.30 per transaction. However, ACH (or direct from bank account) fees are processed at $0.25 per transaction. ACH donations lower this expense to the church. JICC budgets for this convenience, but if the giver chooses, they would simply, do the math, and add these fees to their gift.
