JANUARY 2ND - 22ND

We are inviting our church family to join us as we begin this New Year with a time of prayer and fasting.
This will be a 21 day fast beginning January 2nd and concluding on January 22nd.

Fasting is about focusing.
It’s about denying yourself of what would normally be sustaining you and looking to God to sustain you.
It is about feasting on Him instead of on food.

Fasting Food

Options:
- Fasting lunch, replacing it with prayer
- Fasting food for specific days or portions of the day
- “Daniel fast” - fasting meats, sweets, and wheats (including cheese, alcohol and other “delicacies”)
- Liquid only from sun-up to sun down

Fasting "Inputs"

We live in a digital age that allows us to consume massive amounts of information throughout the day. For our time of fasting, we want to fast some of those inputs and replace them with reading or listening to the scriptures and in quiet reflection and prayer.

This would include:
Phones
Media - TV and movies, games, sports
Social Media
News of all kinds
**Plan ahead!  If you use the news or social media for work, then consider how you can limit your time on that to specific moments of the day**

Prayer Room (located at the church office - 8 Sawgrass Rd.)

Monday - Friday: 6am - 7:30am & 12pm - 1pm
Sunday Mornings: 8:30 - 9:30am

Prayer Night (located in the Sanctuary)

Wednesdays 6pm - 7:30pm

Next Steps

  1. Choose what and how you are going to fast
  2. Pick a prayer partner to encourage you and support you through the time
  3. Write down 3 specific things you are praying for and submit them so that we can agree together
  4. Follow along with our Bible Reading Plan on our app
