Discussion Questions

3DQ - 3 discipleship questions to ask each other: What is God saying to you? What are you going to do about it? How can I help?

  1. What did the Holy Spirit highlight to you in the passage or the sermon?
  2. Luke 12 speaks about the harvest being plentiful. In light of that, where has God sent you? What spaces/places/communities have you been sent into as a messenger?
  3. Romans 1:16 says “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” How does this apply to your life and challenge you personally?
  4. How does our “gospel confidence” impact the way we live out our faith and share our faith with others?
  5. Why do you think the Church has lost its “gospel confidence”? What will it take for the Church to renew our “gospel confidence”?
  6. Someone once said, ”How much of God do you want? You will never have less of God than you want” - How can we stir a deeper hunger and desire for God in each other?
  7. When you think of God’s kingdom coming in Charleston, what do you hope for and imagine? Spend time dreaming and praying together.
  8. In closing, consider the prayer Simon prayed as he surrendered his life to God in his mid-twenties: “God, I will do anything for you - I will go anywhere for you. Please lead me! Please use me.”
