Sermon Notes
Key Passage: 1 Timothy 2:8-15
Core Values
Word + Spirit
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the [messenger] of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Unity + Diversity
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him [unity];
male and female [diversity] he created them.
Order + Freedom
1 Timothy 3:14-15
14 I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, 15 if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.

Discussion Questions
- What part from today’s message was the most helpful to you? What was the most difficult or what did you have more questions about?
- Think about the story of creation and the story of the Fall. How do they give understanding to life as we know it within the challenge of relationships?
- Respond to the statement with examples: “The proper response to misuse or abuse is not disuse but proper use.”
3DQ - 3 Discipleship questions to ask each other: What is God saying to you? What are you going to do about it? How can I help?
