Discussion Questions
- Give some examples of where you have seen sorrow and joy in your life. Is there an area that is still sorrowful that might not be made right until Jesus comes back? Is there something that God is revealing to you about life and about himself through that?
- Consider how contrast brings clarity (think of an example or two): What do you see around you in the world that is mocking the goodness of God? What would it look like for you to make that difference very clear in your own life (by the things you talk about, what you watch, and how you live)?
- Re-read Matthew 24:6-13. Where do you see and feel birth pains around us? What does it look like to secure yourself in the love of God to endure difficult times ahead?
3DQ - 3 discipleship questions to ask each other: What is God saying to you? What are you going to do about it? How can I help?
