Key Passage: Revelation 3:7-13

1. It is God who opens the door (v. 7)
2. We need to pray for the door to be opened (v. 8)
3. Discern the door (assignment) God has set up before us (v. 9)
4. Be ready to face trials and other obstacles to our calling (v. 10)
5. Enter the open door! 

Discussion Questions

1. We believe that God has clearly spoken on the timing of this (Acts 16 - God directing Paul to Macedonia) -- the church starts with a group of women who were praying, a demon possessed girl who gets delivered from an evil spirit, and a roman prison guard and his family.
       a. The no, no, no, yes -- part of the story is because God is a live and speaking

2. What:  one church in two locations … then sunday mornings … then elders set in.

3. It’s for all of us -- foundations there (of blessing the city, new leaders taking responsibility, discipleship) -- foundations here.  For all of us.

4. Lord willing, we do it again -- another church before this one is established in North Charleston.

5. Lighthouse Church --  Light (God is light and in him is no darkness and House (place, church, people gathered) -- but in dangerous waters to lead people to safe harbor.
