Discussion Questions

3DQ - 3 discipleship questions to ask each other: What is God saying to you? What are you going to do about it? How can I help?

1. What did the Holy Spirit highlight to you in the passage or the sermon?
2. Vs 17 - Why is Christ’s fulfillment of the Law important in the gospel story? What would be the implications if Christ did not fulfill the Law?
3. Vs 18 - The Law must be fully maintained and cannot be diminished or changed. What does this teach us about the character of God?
4. Vs 19 - In what ways do Christ followers “set aside” aspects/parts of the Law in our everyday faith? (In other words, how do we minimize aspects of our obedience to the Law).
5. Vs 20 - Jesus emphasizes the requirement of complete righteousness.
a. How does this humble and challenge us?
b. How does the gospel resolve this great need we have?
