Discussion Questions

3DQ - 3 discipleship questions to ask each other: What is God saying to you? What are you going to do about it? How can I help?

  • Verse 8 says the two Marys... “departed from the tomb with fear and great joy.” What do you think this looked like?  What do you think they were feeling?
  • What are some of the fears that you have that shape the way you live?
  • How can you challenge those fears and instead fear the Lord and live out the Kingdom of God in “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit?”
  • Just like guards were instructed to lie and it was been passed down through generations, is there a lie you are believing?
  • Russ mentioned that believing our own lies allows us to remain in perceived control.  Is there a lie that you are telling yourself for the sake of control?  What truth can you use to flip that lie?
