Man retreat 2025

You're welcome to bring a tent, camper, or do car camping! Any way that is easy for you to join us for the full time. There will be designated spots for tent + car camping, and a reserved section for campers! 

If you're not able to stay the night, we encourage you to join us when you can throughout the weekend. No time is wasted during the man retreat. Below is the address and directions for Raccoon Island!

If neither camp or commuting is what you had in mind, there is a small house on the property with very limited beds. We ask that these spots are reserved only if especially needed (for older men or those with medical conditions)! Contact Chris (chris@jicc.us) or Matt (matt@jicc.us) to reserve a bed.

First Lieutenant Patrick "Clebe" McClary, III, USMC, Retired, is an America Hero. He served in the Vietnam War as a Platoon Leader in the First Reconnaissance Battalion.  On the battalion’s 19th patrol, his unit was attacked by the Viet Cong. During this attack, Lieutenant McClary was seriously wounded, losing his left arm and left eye, yet he continued to lead his men. In the years since, Lieutenant McClary has become a symbol of courage and hope to the many audiences with whom he has shared his story and encouraged many to discover God’s purpose for their lives. This address will bring you to a main house, take the right onto the causeway before the main house. The causeway leads to Raccoon Island where everyone will be setting up. Directional signs will point you in the right direction as you get close to the Island.
