WELCOME

Welcome to the Man Retreat 2024! All Men 13+ are invited to join for a weekend of fellowship, camping, food, worship, teaching, and tons of activities! If you’ve never been — this is something you don’t want to miss!

Here is what you can expect:
Friday evening will have some great food, worship, testimonies, ministry time, and time around the camp fire.
Saturday we will have multiple breakout sessions, group challenges, and more food!
Free time activities include biking around the island, fishing, skeet shooting, and field games like football, volleyball and ultimate frisbee.  (also activities like sitting around and doing nothing except talking and drinking coffee.)

ACCOMODATIONS

CAMPING

You're welcome to bring a tent, camper, or do car camping! Anyway that is easy for you to join us for the full time. There will be designated spots for tent + car camping, and a reserved section for campers! 

COMMUTE

If you're not able to stay the night -- we encourage you to join us when you can throughout the weekend. No time is wasted during the man retreat. Below is the address and directions for Raccoon Island!

HOUSE

If neither camp or commuting is what you had in mind -- there is a small house on the property with very limited beds. We ask that these spots are reserved only if especially needed! You can reserve a bed in the registration.

GUEST SPEAKERS

DAVID HASZ

"David led an internship called the Honor Academy where Jackie and I met.  He has spent his whole life developing leaders for the sake of bringing the gospel to the nations. He is honestly one of the greatest leaders I have ever known.  His full bio is below.  You don't want to miss an opportunity to hear him teach us!" - Russ

David serves as the President of Bethany Global University and CEO of Bethany Global - a missions training ministry that focuses on evangelism and church planting around the world.  His full bio HERE.

GREGG SCHMEDES

Gregg and Kelly were members of JICC for many years -- and were sent out by our church for two years as medical missionaries in Cameroon.  They now raise their 7 children in New Mexico where Gregg is serving as a State Senator and as an ENT surgeon.  Gregg is a devoted follower of Christ who has committed his life to strengthening his family and his community.  He will be sharing some of this wisdom during our retreat.

Weekend Schedule

WHEN: Friday February 16th - Saturday February 17th
WHERE: 8730 Raccoon Island Rd. Edisto Island, SC 29438.

This address will bring you to a main house, take the right onto the causeway before the main house. The causeway leads to Raccoon Island where everyone will be setting up. Directional signs will point you in the right direction as you get close to the Island.
Friday 
2-5pm - Arrival + tent set up
5:30pm - Dinner
7:00pm - Worship + Session 1
9:00pm - Free Time
10:30pm - Quiet Time

Saturday
8-9 a.m. - Arrive, morning devotion time
9 a.m. -  Session 2 (Breakout 1+2)
10:30 a.m. - Brunch
11:30 a.m. - Group Activity
1 p.m. - Free time and Break Out Sessions (tent tear down)
4 p.m. - Dinner
5 p.m. - Session 3
7 p.m. - Depart
