Big Idea
The gospel doesn't just change your verdict. It changes your bloodline. And your new bloodline changes everything from the inside out.

Part 1 — The Old Identity is Gone (Romans 6:1–4)
Part 2 — The Old Master is Dead (Romans 6:5–9)
Part 3 — The New Master Owns You (Romans 6:10–11)
Part 4 — The Inside-Out Life

mē genoito "By no means!" / "May it never be!" / "God forbid!" (Romans 6:2)
symphytoi "United" — grown together, grafted, fused (Romans 6:5)
logizomai "Consider" — reckon, count, bank on it (Romans 6:11)
Adonai "My Master"

"When Paul says we 'died to sin,' he doesn't mean sin is dead. Sin is alive and well. He means our relationship to sin has been decisively altered. We are no longer under its dominion." — Sam Storms, Tough Topics

"It would be a serious mistake to think of sanctification as something that brings the Christian to a state of sinless perfection in this life." — Wayne Grudem, Systematic Theology

"We're not outside-in people but inside-out people… The problem isn't any of those things. The problem is our hearts. They're sick and in need of God's help. We can't change our hearts through behavior modification. We need heart transformation." — Jeff Vanderstelt

"The gospel isn't just for the moment we believe. We need the gospel every moment of our lives. Our hearts are made new by the Holy Spirit the moment we believe. They're renewed as we pursue the Spirit day after day." — Jeff Vanderstelt
