Psalm 8: Joy (JICC)

Sermon Notes

Key Passage: Psalm 8
Matthew 21
Genesis 8:1, 30:22
1 Samuel 1:19
Exodus 2:24-25
Hebrews 2:5-8

Joy

Hallelujah is a Hebrew expression from two words combined to mean: “Praise the LORD!”
  • hallel — “praise,” “boast in,” or “celebrate”
  • Yah — a shortened form of Yahweh, the covenant name of God

REMBERING
Mindful = compassionate and purposeful
God’s remembering ALWAYS implies movement towards that object he is remembering.
The father is mindful towards us, remembers us.
He MOVES towards us.

God uses weak voices, sees small people, and gives them a royal purpose through Jesus—so that his name will be seen as majestic in all the earth.
