Romans 12:1-3 (JICC)
Sermon Notes
Key Passage: Romans 12:1-3
Ephesians 3:17-19
1. THE MOTIVE — SEE THE MERCY
2. THE METHOD — RENEW YOUR MIND
3. THE POSTURE — GET LOW
Jesus' sacrifice is for us. Our sacrifice is to Him.
"Jesus, I'm so glad You died for my life — just don't ask me to give You mine."
Stop copying the pattern and start testing the pattern.
"Has the Gospel actually changed the way I think about this part of my life?"
Unrenewed Mind — Consumer Renewed Mind — Living Sacrifice
Pride says: Why haven't they recognized me? Why did they choose them? When will I get my opportunity? Why isn't this happening on my timeline?
Humility says: Jesus, this is Your church. These are Your gifts. My life is Yours. Use me wherever You want.
Don't promote yourself. Don't bury yourself. Offer yourself.
In view of how deeply you have already been loved, offer Him your life.
